Preecha – The Best Seafood in Pattaya

I have been going to this place for over 20 years now and it has consistently remained the best seafood restaurant in Pattaya. Some locals drive from Bangkok just to eat there. A short 20 min drive down the main Suhkumvit highway south leads you to Sattahip.  Look out for the police station on the right at the traffic lights and turn right.  There are lots of other restaurants on the beach here but don’t be fooled.  I have tried others when Preecha was closed for refurbishments and have always been sorely disappointed.  Preecha is always the busy one due to its reputation.  The tables are basic and it is noisy but the sea view is lovely and the fresh fish and other seafood in the tanks is absolutely delicious.  They cook it to perfection.  Beware of Sundays and Friday and Saturday evenings as it can get very busy but weekdays.  For many years I also went to Mum Alloy in 3rd Road Pattaya which is very good but since it was sold to new owners last year it has really gone down in service and quality coupled with a rise in prices.  So for me this is the only game in town for a seriously excellent good value seafood experience.
