Baan Leelawadee Now Open For Guests
The 10 week long renovation and refurbishment of Baan Leelawadee has now been completed at a total cost of over 50,000 euros. The swimming pool toilet and shower have been finished. The salt-based chlorinator has been installed and the pool is fully operational. All the work has been completed to a high standard and specification with new tiled flooring, spotlights, quiet air-conditioning units and silent low-energy DC ceiling fans throughout. New electrical sockets and switches, 150 litre hot water tank, bathroom granite surfaces and washbowls, large mirrors, showers, toilets, windows and skirting boards. A lovely new large bedroom (making 4 in all) – the “Jungle” room – has been created with all round floor-to-ceiling glass windows surrounded by the tropical plants in the garden. The Villa has been tastefully decorated inside and out (including the ironwork on the window security grills) with all new furnishings including curtains with tie-backs and contemporary paintings by a local Thai artist. All new furniture has been added including new luxury pocket-spring mattresses as used in the top 5* hotels, large sofa and easy chairs, dining table and chairs, bedside tables in all bedrooms with lamps on, standard and reading lamps in the lounge. In the kitchen is a new large 14cf fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, rice cooker, cutlery, crockery, glasses, utensils etc. The kitchen units have been restored and a new sink replaced. Fibre broadband WiFi and cable TV have been added with a 50″ LED HD TV in the lounge.
Outside a fantastic new swimming pool with built-in jacuzzi has been added. The pool has coloured underwater lights and is an overflow design meaning that the water is filled to the top. Any water splashing over flows into a tank where it is pumped through the sand filters, dosed with chlorinated water and returned to the pool. Heating is from the all-year round sunshine. The pool has built-in steps at one end and a stainless steel step ladder at the other. It is 1.8m deep at the deep end and 0.5 m at the shallow with pretty mixed blue and green tiles. The pool shower has matching sandstone to the decking and matching tiles. The decking around the pool is integrated with the outside dinning area which is covered to protect from direct sun. A wall fan ensures perfect comfort whilst eating and relaxing. Around the pool is a new garden with a variety of plants, palms and flowers. This extends around the house which has had the garden redone with new grass and plants to compliment the existing mature fruit and palm trees. This provides a lovely outlook from any of the windows inside the Villa. New LED lighting surrounds the pool and garden walls including a Victorian “Mary Poppins” light at the corner of the pool to add further interest and mood.
The great Villa architecture and high-vaulted ceilings are now shown off. The overall result is fantastic with a stylish, clean and contemporary styled home that is beautiful to visit or live in. Few rental homes in Thailand can match this for quality and style. The feedback from the first guests has been excellent. We expect this Villa to get booked up very soon so please contact us if you would like to experience Baan Leelawadee!
