Local Facilities – Eating Out

One of the great things about Baan Leelawadee is its location.  Situated in East Pattaya known for its large temple Wat Sutthawat is Pattaya Hills 2 a private gated estate built in 2005 just off Soi Boonsampan.  Baan Leelawadee has a nice corner position and is only a few minutes walk to the main road which finds all the essential shops including launderettes, Murphy’s which is a great Irish pub (with good cheap English and Thai food – they do a lovely Sunday roast if you are missing that already), restaurants, bars, coffee shops, mini-marts, street markets selling fresh fruit and a German bakery.  A little further, 15-20 minutes, takes you to the beaches, golf courses and all the major tourist attractions.  The map below shows some of the top quality eating places within 1 km radius of the villa.  Click on the image for interactive Google map.

For a more up-market meal there are an increasing number of top quality restaurants within 5 minutes drive away.  Livv Pattaya (main picture) is rated 14 out of 765 places to eat in Pattaya by Trip Advisor.  They do a very nice cooked breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and decent coffee (ivvpattaya.com).  Pepper and Salt is run by a Dutch chef who has quickly established it as one of the top restaurants in Pattaya serving great steaks and European food as well as Thai food. Taxis and buses are running continuously along the main road Soi Boonsampan so it is easy to reach any of these places with or without a car.
